Ooky vs Searchable

Searchable is a broad AEO workspace: tracking, content production, site audits and analytics in one place. Ooky is narrower, cheaper to start, and ends its loop by publishing to AI crawlers rather than by producing articles.

Where each one is strong

Searchable

Searchable does more jobs than Ooky does, and for some teams that is the whole argument.

  • Tracking, sources, content generation, technical audits and analytics in a single workspace, with 20 AI-written articles a month on Pro and 80 on Scale.
  • 100 prompts at $125 where Ooky charges $249 for 100, a custom selection across 9 engines, and unlimited seats on every tier.
  • A brand Knowledge Base with terminology, disclaimers and restricted-claims guardrails for AI-assisted content.
  • White-label reports, Looker Studio and API access for agencies, from the Scale plan.

Ooky

Ooky tracks the same answers these tools track, then publishes a clean version of your pages for AI crawlers and checks what changed afterward.

  • Compiles a clean HTML and JSON-LD version of each page and serves it to recognized AI crawlers at the CDN edge, while people keep getting your normal site.
  • Checks the clean version against your live page before it goes out, so the bot copy cannot drift away from what a human sees.
  • Logs AI crawler and referral traffic first-party, from your own edge, without a third-party tag.
  • Re-runs the same prompts after a change so you can see what moved.
  • Supports up to 3 seats on Starter and unlimited seats from Pro, without per-seat add-ons as the team grows.

Breadth versus the publishing step

Searchable's loop ends at recommend and publish-to-CMS. It will tell you what is missing, generate an article, and push it to your CMS. Its Cloudflare Worker watches AI crawler requests but passes them through to your origin unchanged.

Ooky's loop ends one step later. The same crawler request is answered with a compiled version of the page: clean HTML, JSON-LD, no scripts. That version is built from a reviewed record of your brand's facts and checked against your live page before it is allowed out.

Neither approach is obviously right. If your pages are fine and you need more of them, Searchable's content engine is worth more to you than the publishing step. If your pages exist but crawlers are getting a poor version of them, that step is the thing that moves.

Which one fits you

Most teams can answer this in about a minute.

Choose Searchable if

  • You want tracking, content production and site audits from one vendor and one invoice.
  • You are an agency and need white-label reports across multiple clients.
  • Volume of prompts and audits is the number your budget is measured against.

Choose Ooky if

  • You already have a content team and the gap is what crawlers actually receive.
  • You want a free tier and a $79 paid tier rather than a $125 floor.
  • You want the bot-facing version of your site to be checked against the human version.

Common questions

The things buyers ask us most often when Ooky and Searchable are both on the shortlist.

01

Is Ooky a good Searchable alternative?

It is a good alternative if your priority is delivery and crawler evidence. It is not a like-for-like replacement. Searchable generates articles, runs hundreds of site audits and publishes to CMSs, and Ooky does none of that.

02

What is the price difference?

Searchable starts at $125/mo for 100 prompts. Ooky starts free, then $79/mo for 50 prompts and $249/mo for 100 across three brands. Searchable gives you more measurement per dollar and unlimited seats; Ooky includes publishing on every paid plan.

03

Does Searchable serve anything different to AI crawlers?

No. Its Cloudflare Worker classifies the request and forwards the metadata for analytics, then lets your origin respond as normal. Ooky replaces the response for recognized crawlers with a compiled, parity-checked version.

04

Does Ooky write content?

Not at article volume. Ooky's Studio is for reviewing and editing the facts about your brand that get compiled into the crawler-facing pages. If you need an article engine, Searchable has one and we do not.

05

Which is better for agencies?

Searchable is the stronger fit when you need shipped, plan-based white-label reports and unlimited domains as self-serve product features. Ooky offers white-label delivery through a managed Agency Partner agreement rather than a dashboard toggle. Choose Ooky when its reviewed source, guarded crawler delivery and recheck workflow matters more, and a configured partner handoff fits how you serve clients.
